Amazon Rainforest Trees Face a Dangerous Tipping Point as Climate Pressure Grows

Heat, drought and deforestation are increasingly threatening the Amazon rainforest. Trees are vital for storing carbon and they also provide homes for millions of plants and animals. Scientists are increasingly worried that repeated environmental stress could push parts of the forest over a tipping point.
