World Future Energy Summit opens in UAE: Green transition and circular economy in focus

Organised by the UAE’s clean energy company Masdar, the World Future Energy Summit 2025 has officially commenced today. It aims to become a beacon for international cooperation, collaboration and necessary action.

The Summit brings together 13 heads of state, alongside more than 140 ministers and officials, in addition to leaders from the technology and business sectors. It seeks to unlock a staggering $10 trillion opportunity for economic transformation.

Facilitating discussion and collaboration on sustainability

The UAE’s World Future Energy Summit is going to host 34 specialised sessions featuring at least 70 speakers. These special sessions are aimed at facilitating discussion and collaboration on sustainable practices to ensure a more habitable planet.

During the discussions, participants are going to explore human ingenuity and cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence – all for the sake of creating a more resilient and prosperous future for all.

Taking place in a region dedicated to energy transformation, this Summit expects more than 30,000 attendees. The list of participants is going to feature officials, industry leaders and proponents of sustainability from across the globe.

Climate technology, circular economy, green financing

The World Future Energy Summit 2025 is going to highlight the latest progress made by the clean energy sector. It is going to focus on climate technology, circular economy and green financing. Participants are also going to look into the importance of creating more sustainable cities.

The Summit is happening in a country famous for its deepening focus on climate action. The UAE hosted the annual COP28 climate conference in 2023, noting progress on its first day itself. Participants agreed to operationalise the Loss and Damage Fund.
