Billions of Funds for Climate and Infrastructure Ordered to Unfreeze: Trump Administration
The funds allocated for the two climate and infrastructure initiatives during the Biden era has been ordered to unfreeze by the Trump administration

After the remarkable ruling of the federal court which insisted on releasing billions of funds in climate and infrastructure; these funds were allocated previously by the former President Joe Biden under Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). This decision has been made because the halt of funds had affected programs that were contributing to the initiatives like Green Gas Reduction, solar program and other infrastructure that involved in promoting clean energy & pollution deduction.
But Trump’s administration claimed their actions by citing their concern over the mismanagement and potential fraud carried out using these initiatives. Further, in the court it has been ruled that,
“Agencies do not have unlimited authority to further a President’s agenda, nor do they have unfettered power to hamstring in perpetuity two statutes passed by Congress during the previous administration” – U.S.District Judge Mary McElroy.
The President of Democracy Forward, Skye Perryman has expressed contentment stating that this ruling signifies the “crucial victory for the rule of law and ensures these vital resources will flow to the people and projects Congress intended to support”.
