The episode dived into the complexities in energy transition, stressing the significant role of renewable energy sources such as solar and nuclear in addressing climate change. It also highlighted the need for advancing energy storage technologies for consistent energy supply.

The discussion explored the potential of nuclear energy, particularly through the advancement of small modular reactors and the exploration of thorium as a fuel source, advocating for a diversified approach to the energy landscape, reported DownToEarth.

Major entrepreneurial opportunities in sustainability

Talking about the idea behind the episode, Kamath said: “Climate change is radically changing lives around us, often without us realising it. While everyone is aware of the rudimentary explanation, we wanted to break it down and then make the climate conversation mainstream.”
