IFZA strengthens UAE’s net zero goals through mangrove plantation

IFZA, Dubai’s most dynamic free zone community, has significantly strengthened the UAE’s net zero targets by helping plant 30,000 mangroves as part of its ongoing commitment to sustainability and ecosystem restoration.

This effort supports the UAE’s broader mission to plant 1 billion trees by 2030 to meet its climate neutrality goals by the middle of the century. It highlights the Gulf state’s efforts to combat climate change and make Earth a healthier planet.

Sustainability is at the core of IFZA’s mission. Mangroves play an important role in carbon sequestration, coastal protection and marine biodiversity. These trees absorb greenhouse gases and help create vital habitats for marine life.

Through these plantation efforts, IFZA demonstrates the role businesses can play in promoting sustainability and a greener future. This free zone community in Dubai is committed to ensuring increasing community involvement in conservation and sustainability.
