Global Leaders Conclude WSDS 2025 with Renewed Climate Action Pledges

As the 24th World Sustainable Development Summit 2025 ended in New Delhi the TERI urged everyone to work together against climate issues. Using three days the WSDS event enabled professionals to share insights with government officials and environmental activists about sustainability matters.

During the closing event, TERI Chairman Nitin Desai discussed how nations need to preserve nature while building their economies. UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina J. Mohammed used a video presentation to warn the world about escalating hunger and severe heat while pushing for faster progress in SDG achievements.

Actor and UNEP Goodwill Ambassador Dia Mirza launched the Act4Earth project and encouraged all people to take personal action to shield the environment. World Bank Vice President Martin Raiser noted that India stands alone for leading a sustainable transition since the nation possesses large markets, strong innovators, and struggles with climate stress.

During this event the summit honored young environmental leaders by presenting Youth Climate Conclave awards and introduced the Act4Earth 2025 Manifesto written by the youth. Dr. Vibha Dhawan urged participants to build connections and partnerships which TERI will use for the upcoming 25th anniversary of the event.
