Climate change and kidney diseases: Let’s understand the connection

Nature has just published an article about the connection climate change and kidney diseases share. Researchers are exploring the impacts of the largely anthropogenic crisis on urological diseases and the carbon footprint of urological treatment.

The article seeks to inform clinicians, policymakers and patients about the direct, indirect and systemic impact of the climate emergency on urological health risks, including both malignant and benign conditions.

The impacts of climate change on human health cannot be ignored. The UN has emphasised that the crisis is one of the most serious threats to human health. Unfortunately, despite numerous studies establishing the impacts, people’s focus on the situation remains inadequate.
