Chick Bites: Pets at Home launches groundbreaking dog treat

In a first for the retailer, Pets at Home has launched Chick Bites, a groundbreaking dog treat made from lab-grown meat. The treat seamlessly combines plant-based ingredients and meat produced from cells. There is no need to raise or slaughter animals.

Meatly, the company behind Chick Bites, has explained that the chicken used in the groundbreaking product has actually been derived from a single sample of cells taken from a single chicken egg. Isn’t it amazing?

There is more. Meatly has also claimed that the lab-grown meat used in the product is just as tasty and nutritious as traditional chicken breast. It has been touted to contain all the essential amino acids, fatty acids, minerals and vitamins necessary for pet health.
