COP28 Dubai team at Bonn Climate Change Conference

The COP28 Summit at Expo City Dubai in November 2023 achieved significant success on its first day itself as participants at the event agreed to operationalise the landmark Loss and Damage Fund to compensate developing countries for consequences of climate change.

Besides the Fund – previously agreed at the COP27 Summit in Egypt, participants at the Dubai event also acknowledged the immediate need to transition away from polluting fossil fuels in order to make Earth a better place to live in like before.
